Twenty twelve is here and I’m certain this will be a challenging year, with the prophesized “rapture” nearing day by day.
Maybe it’s good that everyone’s so caught up with this end-of-the-world phenomenon. Some people like it, some people don’t. Some people think it’s blasphemous, some people think it’s the truth.
I, for one, like the idea of a prophesized rapture. It doesn’t necessarily mean I believe it to be true. I like it for a different reason.
I like it because, whether you believe it or not, it has the ability to make you reflect on your life. Knowing that your tomorrows are running out really helps a person see more clearly. And for this year, I think it’s good to pause and look at what you really want to do with your life. It may be hard with all the temptations of the “little things” but that’s where the challenge lies. One must learn to clear the mind to see clearly through to the heart.
So, for this year, don’t hold back. Do what you want as long as it will make you a better person. Live, laugh and learn – it’s the only way.
Twenty twelve: Challenge Accepted
May 2012 even be more meaningful as you reflect on your life
